Poem
By Miha Alam
I was born in a pot of gold,
I was treasured like a golden key,
I was the center of attention,
For most of the eyes in my family.
I was once a carefree girl,
Ruling souls like queen.
I always had company by the souls,
who devoted their heart to me.
I was once a shinning star,
I was once the bright red sun
I was once the whiff of spring,
Those were my golden days cause happiness took the lead.
Once I sat, enveloped in the blanket of despair,
In the grave of darkness,
On the death of my grand father,
A flood of memories wept out of my eyes.
Here I sit,
Recalling my memories,
Over with the winters,
Looking ahead to live like a fairy
The life without any miseries
Life without sorrows
Gifting happiness, merriment and peace
To one and all.
