Motion
An object is said to be in motion if it changes its position with respect to a stationary reference point
An object is said to be at rest if it does not change its position with respect to a stationary reference point.
Motion and rest are relative terms because the same object can be at rest or in motion at the same time w.r.t two different reference points.Eg for a person standing on a roadside a car crossing by is in motion but all the passengers are at rest w.r.t to each other in the car.
